Use of the Towson United Boys Soccer ("TUBS") Skills Mastery App (the "App") is subject to this Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of the TUBS Skills Mastery App Terms of Use & Participation Agreement. By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and consent to this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
TUBS may collect information provided by parents, guardians, players, coaches, administrators, and other authorized users of the App, necessary for the use of the App including:
Account Information
- Player name
- Parent or guardian name
- Parent or guardian email address
- Team affiliation
- Age group
- Username and password credentials
Participation Information
- Skill completion history
- Practice and challenge participation
- Points earned
- Badges earned
- Achievements earned
- Streaks and participation records
- Rankings and leaderboard information
User-Generated Content — If enabled, the App may allow users to submit:
- Photographs
- Videos
- Comments
- Feedback
- Skill challenge submissions
- Other content voluntarily provided by users
Technical Information — TUBS may collect limited technical information such as:
- Device type
- Browser type
- Operating system
- IP address
- Login activity
- Usage statistics
- App performance and diagnostic information
How We Use Information
TUBS may use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Track participation and skill development
- Administer challenges, badges, points, and leaderboards
- Recognize player achievements
- Communicate with users and families
- Support and improve club programming
- Evaluate participation trends
- Troubleshoot technical issues
- Protect the security and integrity of the App
- Comply with legal obligations
Leaderboards and Recognition
The App is intended to encourage participation, skill development, and engagement through friendly competition and recognition. Accordingly, certain information may be displayed within the App or in club communications, including:
- Player first name and last initial
- Team affiliation
- Age group
- Points earned
- Badges earned
- Achievements earned
- Rankings and leaderboard position
TUBS may also recognize participants through newsletters, websites, social media, presentations, meetings, awards, and other club communications consistent with the participant's User-Generated Content & Media Release and any applicable permissions.
Information Sharing
TUBS does not sell personal information. TUBS may share information with:
- Service Providers, third-party vendors, contractors, hosting providers, software developers, data storage providers, communication providers, and technology partners that assist in operating, maintaining, supporting, or improving the App.
- Authorized club personnel, coaches, administrators, Board Members, volunteers, and other individuals who require access to administer the App or support TUBS programs.
- Government authorities, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or operations of TUBS, Towson Recreation Council, participants, or others.
Minor Participant's Information
The App is intended primarily for youth soccer participants. Accounts for minors may only be created with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the App and ensuring that information provided through the App is accurate. TUBS collects information from minors solely for the purpose of operating the App, supporting player development, administering club programs, and providing related services.
Data Retention
TUBS may retain account information, participation history, rankings, achievements, communications, and related records for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate the App
- Administer TUBS programs
- Maintain historical club records
- Recognize achievements
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce agreements
- Comply with legal obligations
Notwithstanding the foregoing, TUBS may periodically delete player participation data, challenge results, rankings, points, badges, streaks, leaderboard information, and other activity records following the conclusion of a challenge, season, program cycle, or other designated period. Such deletions may occur as part of routine administration, system maintenance, program updates, data management practices, or out of an abundance of caution with respect to the collection and retention of youth participant information. User-submitted photographs, videos, recordings, and other User Content may be deleted by TUBS at any time following review, verification of participation, completion of a challenge, conclusion of a season, or for administrative, operational, storage-management, privacy, or security purposes.
Users acknowledge and agree that TUBS is under no obligation to permanently maintain, preserve, archive, or make available any participation history, rankings, points, badges, achievements, challenge results, leaderboard standings, or other App-related records.
TUBS reserves the right to retain aggregated, anonymized, statistical, or non-identifiable information indefinitely for reporting, historical, analytical, program development, or administrative purposes.
Data Security
TUBS utilizes reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no internet-based service, application, database, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users provide information at their own risk. In the event TUBS becomes aware of unauthorized access to personal information maintained through the App, TUBS may provide notice as required by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The App may utilize third-party software, hosting services, analytics tools, communication services, cloud storage providers, or other technology vendors. Use of such third-party services may be subject to the privacy policies and terms of those providers. TUBS is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party providers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
TUBS reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any revised Privacy Policy shall become effective upon posting within the App, on the TUBS website, and/or through other reasonable notice to users. Continued use of the App following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
Acknowledgment
By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and consent to this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and retention of information as described herein.
